In honor of Darby Crash who left this world on December 7th 1980, I made a mixtape of some of my favorite LA punk and hardcore tunes. No Gods: Los Angeles Punk + Hardcore Survey 1976 - 1985 is an epic survey of the classic SoCal scene from Hollywood to the Valley, Oxnard to the OC, East LA to the beach. I’m too young to have experienced any of these bands when they were stalking stages and creepy crawling at the Starwood, Vex, or Masque but I’m so thankful that they found me when I needed them most.
